چکیده

The one-stage partial nitritation and anammox process with the hydroxyapatite (HAP)-based syntrophic granules was studied for ammonium nitrogen removal from effluents of a self-agitated anaerobic baffled reactor treating fish processing wastewater. When in influent 1140 mg N·L-1, high rate efficiency 1.51 ± 0.10 kg N·m−3·d-1 88.2% were obtained, respectively. Anammox bacteria Candidatus Kuenenia stuttgartiensis oxidizing Nitrosomonas two most predominant bacteria, while nitrite activity low could be neglected during treatment. inorganic element properties sludge analyzed by several methods to confirm existence HAP granules. Optical microscopic observation scanning electron microscopy analysis revealed structure granular sludge. This study supports feasibility potential this high-efficiency

Microbial resource management of one‐stage partial nitritation/anammox

About 30 full-scale partial nitritation/anammox plants are established, treating mostly sewage sludge reject water, landfill leachate or food processing digestate. Although two-stage and one-stage processes each have their advantages, the one-stage configuration is mostly applied, termed here as oxygen-limited autotrophic nitrification/denitrification (OLAND), and is the focus of this review. Integrating landfill bioreactors, partial nitritation and anammox process for methane recovery and nitrogen removal from leachate

A new process consisting of a landfill bioreactor, partial-nitritation (PN) and the anammox process has been developed for landfill leachate treatment. In this study, the landfill bioreactor exhibited excellent performance in methane-rich biogas recovery, with a specific biogas yield of 0.47 L gas g(-1) COD and methane percentages of 53-76%. PN was achieved in the aerobic reactor by high free a...

Stable performance of non‐aerated two‐stage partial nitritation/anammox (PANAM) with minimal process control

Partial nitritation/anammox (PANAM) technologies have rapidly developed over the last decade, but still considerable amounts of energy are required for active aeration. In this study, a non-aerated two-stage PANAM process was investigated. In the first-stage upflow fixed-film bioreactor, nitratation could not be prevented at ammonium loading rates up to 186 mg N l(-1) d(-1) and low influent dis...

Nitrogen removal by a nitritation-anammox bioreactor at low temperature.

Currently, nitritation-anammox (anaerobic ammonium oxidation) bioreactors are designed to treat wastewaters with high ammonium concentrations at mesophilic temperatures (25 to 40°C). The implementation of this technology at ambient temperatures for nitrogen removal from municipal wastewater following carbon removal may lead to more-sustainable technology with energy and cost savings. However, t...

Partial Nitritation/anammox and Canon – Nitrogen Removal Systems Followed by Conductivity Measurements

The deammonification process is a new biological promising method for a separate treatment of ammonium-rich digester supernatant. Its application can significantly reduce the nitrogen load in Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs). The method is a two-step process and it can be accomplished in two separate stages (partial nitritation and Anammox) or in a singe one (CANON). Both these systems were ...
